Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to take my phone with me when ever I operate the company vehicle?
    – Yes, your phone with the ORIGOConnect application are required to operate the vehicle normally, without alarm. The presence of your phone and your credentials that you’re signed in to the app with are what give you permission to operate the vehicle. If you attempt to drive the truck without having your phone, you will get active coaching inside the vehicle to remind you your phone is not present, or you’ve forgotten to launch your app. In either case your Admin will get a text alert to notify them your truck is being operated without an authorized driver present.
  • Does my ORIGOConnect app have to be running in the foreground to operate my truck?
    – No, as long as the application is running and you’re signed in, then all is well.
  • Can I access my phone’s features through the head unit in my vehicle?
    – Yes, when the driver’s phone is connected to the head unit via BT or interface cable, you will be able to use the features of your head unit without causing any alarms. If your Admin has the system set to allow phone calls, you will be able to perform those too. If not, then you will not be able to send/receive phone calls via any method unless it is an emergency.
